Mingardo Metal Carpentry, founded in 1970 by Ilario Mingardo, was initially focused on simple carpentry works for the construction industry. Over the time the production has become more refined, enabling the company to collaborate with internationally renowned companies and architects: from the first collaborations with architect Carlo Scarpa to recent commissions for Museo del Novecento in Milan, Parco della Musica in Florence, and Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari. The factory is today highly regarded in the local artisan terrain for its high-end refined finishes and detailing.
Daniele Mingardo worked in his father’s workshop since he was 18. In 2013, he launched his own brand to combine the passion for craftsmanship with the love for design: he produces small numbered-edition collections of home furniture and accessories where metals are the main characters. From 2017 Federica Biasi is the art director of Mingardo.

Bendy is a shelf made of a single folded brass blade, forming a harmonious support surface which enhances the shape. The essential design showcases the material as protagonist, both as a surface and an expression of flexibility. Bendy is available in two versions: brushed nickel or brass with natural waxed finish.
